Lennox International has donated a 10-ton Lennox Variable Refrigerant Flow (VFR) system and related equipment to Salina, KS-based Salina Area Technical College’s Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning program. This donation is the latest in a series of donations in the past two years to help train the next generation of HVAC technicians. There is currently a nationwide shortage of 25,000 HVAC technicians, which could grow to more than 100,000 by 2022. Lennox has now partnered with 12 colleges across the country, but Salina Tech is the first to receive commercial equipment from the company.
