The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) is offering a two-part course called “Humidity Control I & II: Tips for HVAC Design and Practical Solutions to Existing Problems.” Part I will be held Friday Sept. 30, and Part II runs on Friday Oct. 7, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. (EDT).
This two-part, six-hour seminar addresses moisture and/or excessive humidity problems HVAC designers and facility managers often come up against. Humidity Control I explains how humidity problems can be easily avoided in new designs by simple and effective humidity specifications and use of dedicated outdoor air systems that keep ventilation air dry. Humidity Control II describes classic problems and solutions for existing buildings when there may be little or no budget for different equipment or controls.
The course, which costs ASHRAE members $520, includes course materials, Certificate of Attendance and course recording. It is taught by Mark Nunnelly, P.E., Member ASHRAE, BEMP, LEED® AP.
