NEFI names Dotson as Manager Of Government Affairs

The National Energy & Fuels Institute (NEFI) is pleased to announce Liam Dotson as its new Manager of Government Affairs. He brings a diverse background in advocacy, legislative analysis and political action committee (PAC) management and compliance, along with valuable experience as a former small business owner.

Dotson previously served as Compliance Associate at Multistate Associates, where he conducted research on federal legislation, supported the firm’s political consulting work, and ensured compliance across a diverse range of industries. His expertise in legislative tracking, risk analysis and strategic communications proved instrumental as he successfully collaborated with cross-functional teams, drafted detailed reports and engaged with stakeholders to align initiatives with a broad range of public policy goals. Dotson later served as Co-Owner & Business Manager of a small arts and illustration business.

In his role at NEFI, Dotson will apply his skills and experience to develop and implement strategies in support of the association’s national policy agenda. He will also leverage his previous experience to help grow and effectively manage the organization’s federal PAC.

Outside of his professional career, Dotson is an avid martial artist, takes Japanese language classes, and is teaching himself guitar. He currently resides in Springfield, VA, and will work out of NEFI’s Washington, DC office. He can be reached at liam.dotson@nefi.com.
