A propane business near Bakersville, OH was recently opened after the founder’s death. Family business Bennington Propane debuted in July after Brock Bennington, a 37-year-old propane worker, died unexpectedly in February. Brock and his father, Jeff, had discussed starting a propane seller a month prior. Brock had already acquired a hazmat license, Department of Transportation number, trucks and a limited liability company. Then Brock died. Jeff wanted to stop, but decided to continue on in his memory. An 18,000-gallon tank was installed on the farm in May. Brock’s sister, Brooke Miceli, handles the front office work, and other family members work there as well. Bennington Propane delivers propane to a 50-mile radius. The company is not affiliated with a large propane seller or co-op.
