The Propane Education & Research Council (PERC) honored architecture and engineering firm TSP, Minnesota and South Dakota, with the 2019 Propane Project of the Year. The award, which honors residential and commercial projects powered by propane, gave TSP $10,000 for its work on Andes Central High School, Lake Andes, SD.
TSP’s project consisted of designing a 55,000-sq-ft high school onto the existing 25,000-sq-ft elementary school and installing two propane boilers and two propane water heaters, as well as high-efficiency propane-powered appliances in the kitchen. TSP then donated its $10,000 cash prize to Andes Central School District.
“With this contest, we are excited to recognize construction professionals achieving world-class building projects by incorporating propane-powered appliances,” said Bryan Cordill, PERC Director of Residential and Commercial Business Development. “Propane can power nearly every system throughout a home or commercial building including water heaters, furnaces, kitchens, outdoor living amenities, and more.”
