Superior Plus Corp. of Toronto has acquired retail propane distributor Western Propane Service, Santa Maria, CA. Founded in 1988, Western serves approximately 6,000 retail and commercial customers in Southern California and has offices in Lebec, Santa Maria and Ventura. The company will become part of Superior Plus’ Energy Distribution division. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“The acquisition of Western is Superior’s first tuck-in acquisition in 2020 and second retail propane acquisition in California,” said Luc Desjardins, Superior’s President & CEO. “This acquisition demonstrates our commitment to growing our retail footprint in California, which is the largest retail propane market in the U.S.”
