RectorSeal introduces anti-siphoning device for AC RectorSeal, working in conjunction with Aspen Pumps, has announced a new antisiphoning device that can save considerable expense in property damage from A/C condensate pump failures.
The company says ductless mini-split air conditioners need condensate pumps to protect property from water overflow damage, but if a pump fails due to contractor installation errors, it can create condensate line-blocking siphons.
The antisiphoning device is included at no cost with all Aspen Pumps distributed by RectorSeal in the U.S. The device consists of a two-inch long molded plastic fitting with an integral air intake. It is installed in the pump’s 1/4-inch diameter discharge hose and can be oriented horizontally or vertically. After the pump switches off, the device prevents the pump from auto-siphoning and emptying itself, the reservoir and connecting hose.
