Residential geothermal company Dandelion Energy has launched its home heating and cooling service for western New York homeowners. Dandelion said geothermal allows homeowners to get off the energy grid and provides an efficient and affordable form of heating and air conditioning. Dandelion is partnering with local subcontractors to perform all drilling and installation.

Dandelion’s systems are now available in 22 western New York counties: Allegany, Cattaraugus, Cayuga, Chautauqua, Chemung, Cortland, Erie, Genesee, Livingston, Monroe, Niagara, Onondaga, Ontario, Orleans, Schuyler, Seneca, Steuben, Tioga, Tompkins, Wayne, Wyoming, and Yates.
According to Dandelion, its geothermal (ground source) heat pump systems reduce the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning, improve indoor air quality and allow people to reduce their home’s top source of climate emissions.
