Oil & Energy Service Professionals (OESP) has extended the application deadline for its annual Dave Nelsen Scholarship to Friday, March 25.
OESP’s Dave Nelsen Scholarship Program was established in 1999 to provide scholarships to students interested in pursuing their careers in the energy service industry.
Since 1999, more than $300,000 in awards have been presented. To be considered a candidate, applicants are required to write a 500-word essay about themselves, including how their background that has prepared them for success in their chosen field of study. OESP expanded this program last year to Technicians in the energy service industry for qualifying education up to a maximum of $2,000. Applications for the Technician’s Scholarship are considered on a rolling basis. Applications for the Dan Holohan Instructor’s Grant for a $1,500 grant have also been extended to March 25 (see https://thinkoesp.org/index.php/scholarships).
