William “Bill” Paul Stewart, Chairman & Owner (second-generation) of Blue Star Gas, passed away on Nov. 28. Stewart served as a Board Member of the Western Propane Gas Association (WPGA) for 50 years, serving as Chairman from 1994-1995 and received the WPGA Distinguished Service Award in 2004. He contributed for many years on the Propane Education & Research Council’s (PERC) Research and Technology Development Advisory Committee Working Group, helping to bring new products to market for the industry. 
Due to his focus on education, Stewart’s family has established the William P. Stewart Memorial Scholarship fund within the Western Propane Education & Research Council (WPERC) Scholarship program.
