Lancaster, PA: Cargas Systems, an employee-owned business software and consulting company with 90 employees, was recently recognized as the recipient of the Samaritan Counseling Center’s 2016 Ethics in Business Award in the medium-to-large size business category.
The Ethics in Business Award is based on five key principles: integrity, fairness & justice, stewardship, life-enhancing and transparency. Award applicants were evaluated on how they demonstrate these principles in their conduct with staff, customers, vendors, donors and the community.
During the Samaritan Counseling Center’s annual awards ceremony, Cargas was announced as the 2016 Ethics in Business award recipient and highlighted in a 5-minute video.
“It turns out that the things we do naturally as individuals and the programs we have developed over the years are closely aligned with this award’s principles of integrity, fairness & justice, stewardship, life enhancement, and transparency,” said Chip Cargas, Chairman & CEO of Cargas. “I am so proud of our entire Cargas team on being recognized for our ethics. This is not something that can be directed from the top; it takes all of us in our everyday interactions to behave in a way that exemplifies being an ethical company.”
