EPA finalizes 2013 Biofuel standards
Biofuels such as ethanol experienced a drop in prices and margins due to increased production, inventories and imports, said the Pira Energy Group. Also putting pressure on prices were sharply lower RIN prices. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has finalized the renewable fuel standards for 2013 and said it would reduce the mandate for 2014 to what it termed achievable levels.
