“Design enhancement suggestions were garnered through numerous contractor focus group meetings held across North America,” said Bob Abraham, President & CEO. “We believe the resulting new unit meets the criteria contractors require for a successful installation and subsequent home owner satisfaction. Our goal for all new products and product enhancements is to support contractors’ efforts in the market.”
The humidifier can accommodate either a 115 or 230V installation (with the flip of an internal switch); has one cylinder to accommodate regular and low water conductivity; easier portability for a contractor (only one unit and one cylinder); has spark-plug style cylinder wire connectors; requires just a single-screw cover release and includes a mounting kit and straps. The unit also incorporates the new GFX4 humidistat, which now controls the furnace blower motor. General Filters has also enhanced the screen’s color for easier reading, yet kept the function indicators and error codes of previous models.
