Nebraska – January 3, 2017 – Independent Technologies, Inc. President, Daryl Ingalsbe, died in a plane crash near his home in Spruce Creek, Florida. The Independent Technologies, Inc. Board of Directors has appointed Vice President Hank L. Smith as the President and CEO. A statement released by the Board declared, “All of us at Independent Technologies have lost not only a great innovative leader in the voice and data communications research and development field, but we have also lost a close friend. We will carry on his vision and continue to make Independent Technologies the market leader in all of our industrial disciplines.”
Prior to joining Independent Technologies in 1992, Smith worked for US West in various technical and management positions for over 20 years. He has a BA and MBA in finance from the University of Nebraska and an Electrical Technology degree from North Dakota State School of Science.
