A common topic at the forefront of many Americans minds, especially during this highly contested Presidential election, is our dependence on foreign energy resources. In a recent article by the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) it was estimated that in 2015, U.S. net imports (imports minus exports) of petroleum from foreign countries were equal to about 24% of U.S. petroleum consumption. Although this number has declined, many Americans are very interested in its dramatic reduction sooner than later.
Fuel Services, a leader for over 25 years in home heating oil and propane delivery, is excited to share their new product, B5 UltraClean. This new fuel is a blend of Ultra-Low Sulfur Heating Oil, Biodiesel and UltraGuard Advanced Fuel Treatment. In 2018, Massachusetts will mandate ultra-low sulfur heating oil, but Fuel Services has decided to start delivering now!
With this new fuel comes many benefits, one of which includes reduction of foreign oil dependency. It also will provide a cleaner and more efficient resource for Western Massachusetts residents; lowering toxic emissions, nitrous oxide and greenhouse gas emissions and providing cleaner air for the region—all while giving customers cost savings and heating equipment benefits.
“Most of my adult life I have been in the fuel industry,” shares Steve Chase, President and CEO of Fuel Services, Inc. “There are two parts of this industry I enjoy the most. The first is knowing my family, including my son, my daughter, my son-in-law and my grandson, and I are able to take care of other families with the high standards and service I believe in. The second is being in an industry that is constantly progressing. I am proud that Fuel Services continues to evolve and in particular that we are able to be first to share this new, and important, product with Western Massachusetts.”
As the fuel industry advances and there are new laws, Fuel Services is pleased to be a leader and trendsetter. To learn more about Fuel Services, Inc. and B5 UltraClean log on to www.FuelServices.biz.
