The National Energy & Fuels Institute (NEFI) has announced that Sean Cota, President & CEO, has stepped down from his position, effective immediately, for personal reasons.

“Since taking the role in 2018—and before this, as a NEFI member and lifelong industry advocate—Sean has guided us with vision, leadership, and dedication,” said Board Chair Ray Hart.
“We are immensely grateful for his contributions and wish him the best in his future endeavors.”
The NEFI executive committee and board of directors will conduct a search for a new CEO.
“We will keep you updated throughout this process and remain dedicated to providing the high-quality member services and advocacy you have come to expect from this association,” said Hart.
