All technicians that work on oil burners or install oil fired equipment need to have their NORA Tank Certification. Owners, service technicians or service managers have a chance to get that certification-or simply take a refresher class-at a seminar sponsored by the Westchester-Putnam County Heating and Cooling Chapter (formerly Westchester Chapter) of the National Association of Oil and Energy Service Professionals (OESP). It will be held on Wednesday, June 27th, at the Saunders Trades & Technical High School, 183 Palmer Rd., Yonkers, NY, from 8:00 a.m. start to 4:00 p.m.
OESP stresses that Tank Certification is the best proactive approach to tank management and it is imperative that they are installed and serviced properly.
John Levey, an industry expert on tanks, will be teaching this oneday class and donating his time for a good cause—support of OESP’s Adopt a Tech School. Proceeds from this seminar will go towards ongoing efforts in providing this school and its instructors with the latest in equipment and supplies.
The cost of the seminar is $95.00 for nonmembers of the Association and $85.00 for members. Registration includes the NORA educational Tank Materials as well as lunch and snacks. For those in the NORA certification program, the seminar awards eight CEUs. Interested individuals can register and pay for this class by visiting www.thinkoesp.org or by calling Jim Mahoney at 914-403-7683.
