The National Oilheat Research Alliance (NORA) has released the seventh episode of its podcast series, “In the LOOP with NORA.” The podcast series looks at how the liquid fuel heating industry lowers carbon emissions from homes, along with an emphasis on heating system efficiencies and technical education.
In Episode 7, former NORA Chair and owner of Cubby Oil & Energy, Charlie Uglietto, provides his expertise on offering B-50 Bioheat SuperPlus to his customers. Cubby has been offering renewable fuel blends since 2008 and Uglietto explains the progression from a B5 beginning to a company-wide B50—and up to B100 for selected customers.
Next, Jacqueline Hart, VP of Operations at Hart Home Comfort and NORA Board Member, shares how her second-generation company started integrating low-carbon renewable fuel blend heating oil in 2006. Now they offer up to B50 blends, as well as B100 in some cases.
“In the LOOP” takes a deeper look at research initiatives, equipment considerations, renewable fuels, carbon reduction and technical education, propelling us towards a low-carbon future.
