Taco announces new President & COO

Taco CEO John H. White, Jr. introduced Wil VandeWiel as the company’s new President & COO—effective today—during employee meetings at Taco facilities in Cranston, RI last week.
A native of the Netherlands, VandeWiel holds an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s (MIT) Sloan School of Management, as well as Six Sigma Master Black Belt certification. He served as President & CEO of Reamstown, PA-based DORMA Americas, a global manufacturer of door technology systems and similar building products. During his tenure at DORMA Americas, a division of German-based DORMA GmbH, the company saw unprecedented growth in the North American market.
VandeWiel also sits on the Board of Advisors for the University of Maryland’s Smith School of Business and is a member of the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) Founders Society.
John White, Jr., third-generation leader of Taco, will retain his role as CEO.
