Technician applications for OESP’s Dave Nelsen Scholarship now being accepted

The Oil & Energy Service Professionals (OESP) organization is now accepting scholarship applications from technicians for up to $2,000 under the Dave Nelsen Scholarship Program. It was established in 1999 to provide scholarships to students interested in pursuing careers in the energy service industry. The program was expanded last year to include technicians and applications will be considered on a rolling basis. Thus far, OESP has presented more than $300,000 in awards in the past 20 years.
Eligibility requirements include:
• Application at least two weeks before the start of the class
• Sponsorship by a local OESP chapter
• Working for a minimum of one year in the field of HVAC, propane or oil
• Working at a company with a membership in OESP
• A detailed explanation of the class and benefits of the class
• Application up to two times for a maximum of $2,000
