As promoted at the International Air-Conditioning, Heating & Refrigerating Exposition (AHR Expo) in February, and recently at the Eastern Energy Expo, Weil-McLain’s residential Ultra Oil, WGO, WTGO and SGO oil boilers are certified for use with B20 biodiesel when used with approved Beckett and Carlin oil burners.
According to the company, blending traditional #2 fuel heating oil with 20% volume of a renewable source has many advantages:
• Reduces greenhouse gas emissions — better for the environment
• Reduces U.S. dependence on foreign oil — approved Bio additives are Made in the U.S.
• Eligible for a federal tax credit — for ENERGY STAR rated models installed from Jan. 1, 2023, through Dec. 31, 2026
• No oil burner adjustments necessary — easy transition between #2 fuel heating oil and a B20 blend
All residential Beckett AFG and Carlin EZ oil burners shipped from Weil-McLain to distributors since March 2021 are B20 ready.
